Welcome to Central Elementary School! We are excited for the opportunity of a new school year filled with promise, growth, and achievement. We believe in the power of collaboration among students, parents, teachers, staff, and community to create a nurturing and successful learning environment. These are foundational years of student development and we are dedicated to establishing a welcoming culture that maximizes the successes of all students.

Our Vision at Central Elementary is that all students will achieve their highest potential and be well prepared for the next step in their learning journey. To support this vision, we are proud to be committed to strong primary instruction and classroom management, common planning and consistent assessments developed by Professional Learning Communities, Multi-Tiered System of Supports for intervention and enhancement, utilizing a 1:1 student/iPad ratio, and a focus on social and emotional development of our students through the Second Step Curriculum. Additionally, our curriculum includes enriching fine arts and specialized classes such as music, physical education, art, technology, library, and counseling, ensuring a well-rounded education that fosters both academic and personal growth.

At Central Elementary, we recognize the importance of parental involvement and community support in our students' success. We warmly invite volunteers to join us in various capacities, providing valuable opportunities for parents, guardians, and community members to engage with our school community and contribute to our students' educational journey.

Please feel free to visit our school, attend events, or reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns you may have. I am excited to be the principal of Central Elementary and take great pride in being from Wamego. I will strive to  always be available to our families and the community that we serve. Your partnership is invaluable to us, and together, we can make this school year truly exceptional.

Here's to a fantastic year ahead as “One Wamego”!
